Millions contracted life threating diseases from blood and will eventually die, so how can you say its save. Is that a fact? I doubt it! If it is truly a fact, you should have no trouble proving it. Why do you think that there are hospitals becoming bloodless doing operations without blood and given other medical treatment when a person needs blood. thats a fact
Eric, you seem to draw some incorrect conclusions. It is always much safer to give the patient their own blood back. Reducing blood loss is always a good thing. But if you are in an accident and hemmoraging, at some point, you will have to have a transfusion or you will most certainly die. If blood transfusions were causing that many problems or were dangerous, doctors would not do them. Transfusions are much less lethal than bleeding to death. There is no viable substitute.
