Question:
Hi. Erm… I need some help here… regarding Mother Mary. I have many protestant friends, and they are getting very, VERY strong on bible knowledge and on the point of view that Mother mary is just another woman, who has sins, and has nothing to do with jesus other than being a "package deliverer" of God’s son’s body…. I…..I don’t study the bible well, but I donno where to start, and I wonder who is right and wrong… I even wonder if catholic is the right religion sometimes…. shaken thoughts indeed. Could anyone help me out? Like erm… explain to me how is mary so special we should honor her with greater glory than many other holy saints that have lived and breathed on earth? How is legio mariae not simliar to praying to Baal or anybeing else? If possible with quotes from the bible? I’m losing out in all the debates and my friends are telling me to convert. help help!! (And erm, what did Martin Luther King do to make Catholism sound so horrible and digusting to the core? I heard somthing like ‘buying the right to sin’ and some others. Heard there are like abt 59 critisms. Oh dun bother about this too much- just a side question) I would have no idea if you’re an extremist so pls state your credentials so that I can absorb the holy knowledge of God without any fear of accepting the wrong idea. I’m sorry if I sound so pathetic and hopeless. They are calling catholism a cult! and I can’t argue cos I have no facts at hand…..so sorry…. You could look at the Biblical verse when Jesus was asked what the Greatest Commandment was, and He replied, "Love the Lord with your whole heart, and with See also Matthew 11:28-30
