I’ve got enough of you! I’m Polish and there are many Catholic organizations here which want to under-develop my country. I had been a catholic about 20 years before I realized that’s all worthless and priests only say something but do other things.
Catholic organizations are not necessarily the same as the Catholic Church. And if you mean by underdevelop that they have reservations regarding Capitalism.. well d’uh.. look at how materialistic and shallow Western Culture has become and I think it is easy to see why the Church is critical of it. You, officially berate gays, but there are a great number of gays in the Church as well (personally I know many)
The Church does not berate gays, it preaches homosexual behavior is bad; but homosexuals are neither better or worse than anyone else. Any one who claims different is not teaching the Catholic position. You fought against Communism’s recensorship but you do exactly the same, it’s impossible to write anything critical in your www portals because nothing "inconvenient" will be issued.
What www portals? You mean here? Besides if you are using their portals then don’t they have a right to publish what they choose? Its not like they censor the general media. You say "God forgive us as we forgive" but that’s not true because you never forgive….

Other religions are by definition (from a Catholic perspective) a lesser version of the truth and therefore we should preach the fullness of truth. However recognizing the limits of other religions does not mean we should not love the believers of those religions nor that we should ignore them. If we can work with Lutherns, Anglicans or Orthodox to accomplish some good in the world why not? You cheat people, saying so many things like in Greek Mythology and you are sure they believe

Seems to me that if your faith can be destroyed by failures in the structure of the Church then your faith was not that strong to begin with. A study of history will show that there have been times when the Church has had problems, but faith should not be based on the structures of the Church but the essential beliefs of the Church. Tell you what, Russian Communists did not pull out the people from the church for more than 70 years but you will do it in 20 years time, you’ll see.
I think it is more likely that Capitalism will erode the base of the church in Poland more effectively than the Church ever could. It seems you can be Poor and Catholic but rich nations seem to embrace the material and forget God. I really wish all the worst to you all.

I agree with you because the same things happened to me. That is why I became disillusioned with the Roman Catholic Church. However you do not have to give up your Catholic Faith or heritage. Join the Old Catholic Church, which is the Complete opposite of the Roman Catholic Church. I was able to restore my Catholic Faith and heritage by Joining the Old Catholic Church. I recommend you check into it if you want to truly keep your faith and heritage as a true Catholic. As for the RCC, they condemn other religions, yet Many are still part of the Roman Catholic Church. I see that many Methodist, Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Lutheran, and Protestant branches still have direct links to the Roman Catholic Church. Even the leaders of their churches have Cardinal ranks in the RCC. So I really do not know which religion besides the Anglican Church that does not have direct ties to the RCC. Ummm.. If you think there are Methodist, Luthern, Presbyterian or other Protestant have Cardinals in the Catholic Church then you don’t know either the Catholic or the Protestant faith as well as you think you do. There are ecumenical ties between the Catholic Church and most major Christian Churches (including the Anglican Church), but these are not direct ties of leadership, but rather to allow a dialogue between the groups. Also I am not sure you can really argue that one can retain ones heritage as a true Catholic by joining a schismatic group that refuse to accept papal authority. The only Schismatic Sect that can really claim a truely Catholic Heritage is the Orthodox Church because that schisim there was much broader and based on real questions of Papal authority as opposed to the Old Catholics who split off after Papal authority in the West had been established. — Bill
