I have no emotional attachment to Elian or to the Cubans. I am very interested in why 34,000 illegal immigrants who have committed felonies are released back into the US society rather than be deported. Where is the rule of law here ? There is a solution. Help the third country and their problems will be yours. Cuba, to your standards is a third country isn’t it? Like a Mexican president once said. Why don’t you settle your problems with Cuba As soon as Cuba returns the billions of dollars in property it stole when Castro took power there will be something to talk about. Untill then he is just a common thief.
I know about the property but did America pay off the British for stealing their property? Which mafiosi owned those properties? Is America that short of money? Who are the claimants? The dead or the living? Corporations i suppose. and then you would not have to deal with kidnapping Cuban children. You must not know much about the story.
