Question:
Hi: I am searching for a Birth Mother of a friend of mine. He was born December 20, 1976 at 4:55pm at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba, searching for his Birth Mother. Does anyone know how I proceed in looking for a biological parent? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance Sherry Norie

I am searching for my birth mother. I am a Female born on Feb. 2, 1956 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. My adoption order states that my birth name was "Mary Smith." However, my adoptive parents said that when they picked me up from the hospital that they said the name was "Schmidt." I beleive this to be the surname of my mother. At the time of my bith my mother was 20 years old. The history that I have says that she was born in Russia and is of German origin, she received all her highschool education in Germany before immigrating to Canada. The history I have on my father says that he is Roman Catholic and at the time of my birth was 23 years old.
