Godless Religion

Question:

Godless Religion "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." II Tim 3:5 Included in Paul’s graphic description of the last days is this warning concerning religious leaders.  They will observe the outward form(church buildings, sacraments, religious services, etc) of godliness(religion) but will reject its supernatural aspects.  They desire the trappings of religious professionalism and are "lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God." Such specifications describe the modern world of scientism and liberal theology, which prevades practically all religious denominations and overlaps with all kinds of liberal social movements(feminism, abortion, euthansia, homosexual rights, "New Age" pantheism and others).  although these are widely diverse in structure and purpose, they all share one vital feature in common: they reject supernatural Christianity, especially special creation.  Many liberal preachers give nominal allegiance to the teachings of Christ and the Bible, but they invariably deny the mighty power of God in special creation, as well as the great worldwide miracles of the Bible-the Flood, the dispersion, etc. This prophecy is not given in Scripture simply as a matter of information.  It contains a warning urgenly needed by Bible-believing Christians who are under pressure today to compromise with humanistic liberals on this great teaching of God’s creative power.  Many have accepted the evolutionary system of "ages geology." and this is tragic and dangerous(see " Theistic Evolution1-8 ).  Instead of compromising with evolutionay naturalists and religious liberals, as many evangelicals have done today, take heed to Paul’s warning and "From such turn away!"  HMM, Sep 13, 2003

Indeed.  The very warning cited from scripture applies to the author. — Dave Oldridge ICQ 1800667 Paradoxically, most real events are highly improbable.

He’s right in that the greatest threat to the Christian Church (by which I mean the universal church of all believers, not the Anglican Communion and not the RCC) comes from those within. It is worth considering when appointing church leaders, pastors, elders, deacons etc. to only choose those who are actually Christians and not consciously or unconsciously fooling everybody.

To apply the "logic" of the above paragraph in the Roman Catholic church, the first person who MUST go is RAT (also known as Cardinal Ratzinger).  No one in the recent history of RC Church has caused more harm to the image of Christ and Christianity than this hateful, regressive, obsessive, dictatorial man. RAT (Ratzinger) is corrupting the compassionate face of Christ in His church and has driven too many faithful away from their mother, the church. May God have mercy on RATzinger and his evil works.  He really needs it and will answer to it on the last day.

Is Godless and Religionless OK?

Response:

The creation theory in christianity is the most unscientific nonsense that can be present in any religion. And flood story will amuse and impress only kida and not any grownup with a bit of grey mattern in brain. It has been well proven that the nonsense of "LET THERE BE LIGHT" and god "creating" the universe in a few days a just few thousand years ago are rubbish. Based on on a literal interpretation of the Book of Genesis, age of earth is six thousand years ! In the 1640s, for example, biblical "scholar" Dr John Lightfoot calculated that the world was created at the autumnal equinox in 3928 BC. A few years later, Archbishop James Ussher of Ireland announced that God created heaven and earth on Saturday evening, October 22, 4004 BC.! Now it is proven that earth’s age is around 2 billion years. This is matches with the calculations in Hindu texts. According to Hindu philosophy, the age of the earth (to the year 2000) is 1,972,949,101 years. The earth will live for a total of 4.32 billion years — a ‘day of Brahm
