Christianity is Crap

Question:

No argument that Christianity exists in its practioners if you mean that the Eternal God lives in and among the faithful. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Blatant trolling nonsense.  Christianity does not exist except in its practitioners, and these run the gamut from jerks to saints. Christianity is too vast geographically, culturally, theologically, christologically and historically to make Yak’s sweeping, uncritical judgment.

Response:

But God doesn’t depend on men, and it may happen that one day there would be no faithful at all on earth. Then, the world would certainly disappear… – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – No argument that Christianity exists in its practioners if you mean that the Eternal God lives in and among the faithful. Response:

I still respect you, and I hope someday the Lord will give you the grace to see through Roman Catholicism so you will come out from her and be ye separate.

I still respect you, too, Judith.  Yeah, I have     a temper and yeah, I can get snotty.     (I feel real remorse sometimes after I     click the send button on one of my more     indignant and self-righteous rants.) But     at least I try to be honest.  In this case, my     post may not have been diplomatic, but     it was sincerely intended to help.  I really     do believe that unhappy people can be     helped by religion.     By the way, you have a standing invitation     to come to my Church with me (St. Elizabeth     Ann Seton in Anchorage Alaska) anytime     you are in Anchorage.     Peace–Glenn

Response:

Dear Glenn: We may never agree, but I do have real heartfelt affection for you. Please do not think that I hate individual Catholics, I just do not believe Roman Catholic theology. One of the nicest, yea the nicest lady I worked with is a Roman Catholic.  She has since moved on, and unhappily her husband died recently. Thank you, but I must decline your invitation.  Have a great day. I think that you would make a great poster child in an advertising campaign designed to show why angry, embittered, unhappy people need religion to give meaning to their lives.     Peace–Glenn

You know me so well after all these years. And just when I was respecting you because your responses were so civilized even though I can’t for the most part agree with them. You were not ooey gooey, and you weren’t snotty like some of us Protestants and Catholics. Religion does not give meaning to anyone’s life, but a loving, obedient relationship with Jesus does. However, Jas. 1:27 reads, PURE religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. I still respect you, and I hope someday the Lord will give you the grace to see through Roman Catholicism so you will come out from her and be ye separate. In Christ, Judith Share what you know.
