Celebrating Gene Robinson!

Question:

On Sunday November 4, the Christian church will elevate its first openly gay bishop, Gene Robinson. Correction: On Sunday November 4, the Episcopal church will elevate its first openly gay bishop, Gene Robinson.

Sunday, November 4?  The next time the 4th of November is Sunday is 2007.  It seems your efforts to make backwards, forwards, up, down leaves me wondering whether this error is accidental, or intentional. So it begins, the leading of all into doubt, not belief!  Mark 13:22.  For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. Correction: On Sunday November 4, the Episcopal church will elevate its first openly gay bishop, Gene Robinson. Exactly.  The Anglican Communion is threatening to toss the Episcopal Church out, and Episcopalians here are threatening to start a counter-church. The Episcopal church these days is like that mad old sister that used to be kept in a closet.  She makes an appearence once in a while, everyone shakes their heads, and then they quietly get put back out of sight, and out of mind.  Pretty sad, really. Dan —

And this situation has brought out all the nuts, kooks, and hate-mongers who have heretofore kept themselves hidden under various rocks. L

Then shut up.

I assume you are referring to all of the "nuts, kooks and hate-mongers" who hate the church and therefore celebrate perverts and their fellow travelers given an office to spread their nutball "theology" and kooky definitions of "love".

Response:

The bible teaches love and Gene teaches love.

I promise you that the love that Scripture teaches is way different then the "love" that Gene teaches. Gene teaches a hate towards the holiness and righteousness of God Gene teaches a hate towards orthodoxy Gene teaches a hate towards others because he teaches damnable heresies that will lead others to hell. Isa 5:20  Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Many Christians are confused over Gene’s elevation, and we should pray that their confusion be lifted.  Like Gene says, we need to show compassion for these people and show them love. Tomorrow Gene will be lifted up, and as we celebrate Gene’s elevation, we must remember that Gene is a stumbling block for many and pray for these people. Blessed are those for whom Gene is not a stumbling block.

Response:

Why are you crossposting this into groups that you know do not see this as anything to be celebrated?  Your church is going to split from the Anglican Communion as a result of this action, so it’s really rather sad.

Because he’s a troll. Daniel —- Daniel S. Vieira raamthodol **at** earthlink **dot** net "Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. I’m not the least bit confused.  It’s wrong. Tomorrow Gene will be lifted up, and as we celebrate Gene’s elevation,

No, actually MOST of those reading the various groups you trolled don’t. we must remember that Gene is a stumbling block for many and pray for these people.

Actually homosexuality is a stumbling block for Gene and we pray for him.

Because this is a celebration for all Chrsitianity, not just for Episcopalians. Your church is going to split from the Anglican Communion as a result of this action, so it’s really rather sad.

No, as Gene says, crisis is good for the church.  The chuch grows as a result of crisis.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. The Bible also teaches justice and God’s hatred of sin: Feel free to cut that out of your "loose leaf" Bible, though. Ouch! The truth sometimes hurts, doesn’t it? :-) However, next they’ll call us bigots, homophobes and hate-mongers because we don’t support this sophistry. Even though they’re actions will surely split the ECUSA. Who will have pie on their face then?     Behold, Pat Buchanan eloquently sums it up this commentary: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=34026 See?  Catholics and Lutherans *can* agree on some things! ;) Daniel I have pleny of friends that are Roman Catholic. :-) The Episcopal Church *is* pro-choice. I am not pro-choice, neither are most Roman Catholics that I know. Actually the majority of Christians are pro-life. The Episcopal Church came out with an idiotic resolution on slavery reparations at GC 2003.. The list goes on-and-on as far as the left-wing, secularist agenda that has creeped into the ECUSA and will most certainly consign that organization to the ash heap of history.

The Bible teaches love is not, nor ever has been, an end to itself. 1 John 4:9-10 "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." Kami

Do you *actually* believe we are going to celebrate the consecration of a gay adulterer, unrepentant sinner as Bishop? If so, you need a Biblical reality check, my friend. :-) The bible teaches love and Gene teaches love.

Gene teaches something other than love.        FYI, the LCMS official position on homosexuality was summed up in the latest issue of the Lutheran Witness: http://www.lcms.org/witness/ Through Gene’s consecration, may the light of love open your eyes and your mind.  May you accept the love Gene has for you.

"elevation"?  The usual clich
