Inalienable Rights

Question:

1:The Luddites take their name from Mr Ludd, a gas station owner who shot his Coke machine because it wasn’t working properly. The Luddites are anti-machinery.

Check D.M.Bruyns post for the correct identity of a Luddite.  I am not surprised at your knowledge of history.  Your ignorance seems to be vast. 2: If you believe that there is no persecution of Christians, you haven’t been watching. Christians are persecuted all the time. Heretical groups like the Branch Davidians are persecuted for being crazy (check dejanews for the justifications after April 19, 1993

The Branch Davidians were crazy. But they were not persecuted.   members of Christian groups that use symbols, such as crosses or icons, have been known to be asked to remove all the "Christian hate symbols" from their ofice space, because the gay rights organizations view Christianity as a hate group. The gay rights organizations have made it all the rage to equate Christianity with smallminded, jingoistic, hate-spewing scum who find themselves in court on charges of assault and murder. Organizations like the KKK, Christian Identity, National Association for the Advancement of White People, are equated with Jehovahs Witnesses, Southern Baptists, Roman Catholics, and Pentecostals.<snip

I wouldn’t know.  I’m not gay.  But I am Christian and I find pseudo-christians such as yourself a constant embarrassment. Talk to your friends, check it out. you may be surprised at how much persecutionisn’t beig talked about because everyone comes back with "Christians aren’t persecuted, their priveleged"

I’m afraid that we run in different circles.  I have never had a friend who believes as you do.  Personally I believe the KKK, Christian Identity, and National Association for the Advancement of White People to be manifestations of the anti-christ, NOT even remotely Christians.

Response:

So embroiled in Christian persecution are the public schools, government suppression of religious freedom starts earlier and earlier teaching children that they are not allowed  to believe in, talk about, or talk to God.  This is not preventing the establishment of a national denomination, but a suppression of religion, the diversity of American culture, and the establishment of atheism as the national religion.<snip If atheism or the absence of the mention or belief of the Creator becomes the established national church, there can be no inalienable rights granted by a Creator that can not be mentioned in public.<snip

Your post, Michael, is pure crap.  There is no persecution of Christians in this country.  Nor is atheism about to establish a "church."  The real danger to our democracy is the lying, intolerance and rumor mongering of people such as yourself.  You are just another empty headed fundamentalist reciting the Luddite party line.

This is indeed a nice thought. However, as long as Christians are unable to put away their hatred for each other the athiestic groups will win out. As of yet I see no relenting in protestant hatred of Catholic. What I do see is little of that hatred returned, so maybe there is hope for America – but I doubt it.

Hatred is not a christian monopoly. Listen to "national brotherhood week" by Tom Lehrer "Oh the poor folks , hate the rich folks and the rich folks, hate the poor folks all of my folks hate all of your folks its american as apple pie" — Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. In ordert to stop this, some ONE christian group is going to have to claim the copyright to the term Christian (I vote for Antiochian orthodox, for it was in antioch that followers of Jesus were first called Christian : )  ) all the rest will have to call themselves something else. Haven’t heard this one before. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the Luddites were early opponents of the Industrial Revolution, in England. They were indeed anti-machinery, because they worried that it would make them, and other workers, redundant. Smashing up early machines was quite their thing. I’d be happy to hear anything you have on Mr Ludd though. My guess is he was from the south. ;-) Dex – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – 2: If you believe that there is no persecution of Christians, you haven’t been watching. If atheism or the absence of the mention or belief of the Creator becomes the established national church, there can be no inalienable rights granted by a Creator that can not be mentioned in public.  Rather than Americans being sovereign Citizens as God demands and as declared in the Declaration, Articles of Confederation, and Constitution, sovereignty would be taken away from the people, (the unique character of Christian American culture under attack), and placed solely in the government, (the world system our forefathers came here to get away from), the express event the Constitution was intended to prevent by its limitation on the Federal government.  Although we would look more like the rest of the world, why would we want to do that? Based upon Federalists 65 and the inability of the Senate to remove a know felon from office, American is now in a Constitutional crisis.  It is time to restore the Constitutionally Limited Republic and return to a few basics that some want to sweep under the carpet, like respect to God and His laws in whom we place our national trust. Thomas Jefferson who first coined the phrase *separation of church and state* which does not appear in the Constitution, would be surprised to lean how the meaning of those words have been twisted by today
