I have to admit, Luminaria’s response was better than my, "What the **** are you doing in this NG then?" 8-/ Please bear with me ya’ll. I dropped the nicotene gum down to 2 pieces yesterday and only one today… and I’m about ready to blow a fuse in anger. Ever quit smoking? It’s a real bi_ch. 9Volts 10 days, 9 hours no smoke. So far noone has ticked me off enough to kill them… and I don’t think I’ve ever prayed this much in my entire life…

Matthew 16:18. Oh, but wait… let me give you your objection to this… "Peter wasn’t above Paul" <insert 80 bible quotes "Jesus meant the rock was all his christians. He was speaking metaphorically." Everyone, pardon me here… and bob, please pardon me as well. I haven’t had but a tiny bit of nicotene for 2 days (total of 12 mg in 48 hours) and I’m accustomed to about 80 mg of it a day. What the HELL are you doing in this NG if you aren’t catholic? Did it look like alt.religion.christian.convert.the.catholics? Or maybe alt.religion.christian.catholic.bashing? Do tell me, why are you in this NG if you aren’t catholic and you have no desire to do anything here but ask for proof for everything in our faith? The atheists here provide better company than most protestants. At least they usually ask intelligent questions. Tell me where in the bible it says, "Go to alt.religion.christian.roman-catholic and argue with the catholics until you are both blue in the face." And don’t quote me some crap about preaching the word. Preaching and spreading the word doesn’t mean getting blue in the face about it. Ever wonder why Catholics don’t do the "Brother, are you saved?" bit? Because it doesn’t work. You will NEVER see the truth until you go looking for it. And only one protestant I’ve ever known actually changed her mind when she looked for the truth. So, go back to your 23,000 different Protestant religions, all of whom are given the "true" interpretation by the Holy Spirit and be happy and at peace there. From what I’ve read, it’s still possible for the profoundly stubborn and ignorant (not intellectually, but spiritually) to get into heaven. *pant* Ok… now the apology. Guys, I was nic fitting here. And if I cancel this post, I won’t feel any better but I’ll feel worse. Accept the apology. bob, sorry for snapping at you. I’m just so sick of seeing it. Do you see catholics making a mess of any of the protestant groups? No. Do you REALLY think it’s worth it to try to save us from our ignorance? Can you answer any of these questions from your heart and NOT from the Bible? Is it that horrible that we think that Matthew 16:18 is the formation of our Church? Can you accept that we have chosen to believe that the Holy Spirit DOES guide in understanding of scripture yet SATAN can interfere here and cause confusion (like 20000 different protestant denominations)? Do you know the difference between the meaning of the word "Accept" and "believe" as used in the questions above? Have you READ anything WRITTEN BY A CATHOLIC on our faith? Do you believe we worship Mary and the Saints? Do you believe we worship the actual statues of Mary? Do you believe we worship the crucifix? If you do believe these things did you READ that we do it in a book written by a CATHOLIC or a PROTESTANT? Or did you not read it and just assume it’s what we do because your protestant friends said so….
