What happened to Jesus between the Crucifixtion and Resurrection?

Question:

I got stumped by this quesiton.  Can someone please help me out?  Where in the Bible should I read to get this question answered? Maybe This will Help!

What happened between the Cross and the Resurrection?  In Paul’s writings you will find him mention things like Jesus preaching to those in prison. Check out I & II Peter; Jude; ROM. 10:4-10; and run references. Notice in Romans Paul states He that ascended first descended into the deep (abyss.)(Hades) Also try Acts 2:23-24; its in the Bible if you look for it as it were gold. The reason Christ suffered on the Cross and went into Hades is because He was paying the TOTAL price for man’s (Adam’s) SIN. (and we also become righteous through ONE Jesus Christ the Son of Jehovah GOD) ( as our substitute He suffered everything that was due every man)(sin, sickness, disease, poverty, lack, spiritual death, eternal death, & the penalty or penalties for the sin nature, and sins in the flesh) (remember IS. 53…It’s real) When He was on the Cross He was OUR substitute. Which means He went there in our place. Some say, " There’s no way Christ the Son of God went to hell (Hades)". But, may I remind you that only because He was the Son of Jehovah was He able to be worthy to be our Substitute. (Is. 53:1-12) (a substitute must suffer the same fate as the one who is condemned to die the death. Physical death first, then Hades) When Jesus was on the Cross He was still the Son of Jehovah God, but He wasn’t playing the role of God. He was playing the role of Messiah. Remember, Christ and Messiah mean the same thing. They both mean Anointed one.  So ask yourself , What was He Anointed FOR? He was Anointed to be the Spotless Lamb OF GOD. Who Came To Take Away The Sins Of The World. (every person in the world) Jesus is called the CHRIST because He was Anointed to be OUR SUBSTITUTE. After being tested and tried even by Satan himself God spoke from Heaven and said "This IS My Beloved Son in Whom I am Well Pleased".  Even in His earthly walk Jesus was ous Substitute. That’s how we are declared righteous by and according to faith. That’s why Paul calls it the Righteousness of Christ. It’s what HE earned: NOT YOU AND I. According to Romans chapter 3 & 4, we are made righteous by placing our faith (trust)(confidence) in the LORD JESUS Christ! Paul says we are NOT made righteous by works of righteous (good deeds) , but according to HIS MERCY HE SAVED US.(Titus 3:5) Romans 3:20-26 ; Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested (brought to light), being witnessed by the law and the prophets: (22) Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God: Being justified freely by His Grace through the Redemption that is in Christ Jesus: WHOM God hath set forth to be a propitiation (atoning sacrifice for every man) Through Faith In His Blood, to declare His Righteousness for the remission of sins that are past (old Testament saints) through the forbearance of God: TO declare at this time HIS Righteousness: that He might be just( spotless; sinless) and the justifier of him which believeth in JESUS. Maybe this will Help :  May GOD BLESS YOU WITH REVELATION KNOWLEDGE ( READ Eph. CH. 1) For The LOVE OF JESUS Christ in you all.     Jimmy

I Peter 3: 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; A large number of theologians have interpeted this to mean thhat Jesus went to "hell" and preached  the Gospel to all those who died before his coming….giving them a chance to be accept Him.
