Response:
Let us be true to the words of God. The Bibel do not any plase say that the sabbath is the seal of God. What says the Bible about the Seal of God?; Eph.4:30: "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." If you still believe that the sabbath is the seal of God, then please show me from the Bible! Eph 1:13-14 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation-having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory. Eph. 4:30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 2 Tim. 2:19 Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are His," and, "Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness." John 6:27 Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal." Sorry Ted, but it is quite obvious that the seal of God is definitely NOT the sabbath. Maybe where you are from you can just say it and have it believed, but here, you had better be able to back it up with direct application of scripture. In Christ, Larry

: If you still believe that the sabbath is the seal : of God, then please show me from the Bible! : : Willy Brochs : Norway : You will find the__ *Seal* of God__ in the Law of God. "Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples." Isaiah 8:16 There are three essential elements of any lawgivers seal. 1. His name 2. Title and authority 3. His dominion or jurisdiction All three of these essentials are in the Decalogue. Specifically in the fourth (Sabbath) commandment. "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." Exodus 20:8-11 Please notice in verse eleven……. "For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." v.11 Here we have the NAME of the lawgiver: "the LORD.." Title: CREATOR "made heaven and earth" Jurisdiction: "…..heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is" So, here we see in the law of God, the seal of the living God with His name, title and jurisdiction. This commandment shows God’s authority to enact all the commandments, and shows all other gods to be false gods. When we observe the Sabbath, we acknowledge that He is our Creator, that He has the authority to give us His law and that we choose Him above all false gods. Then let us worship this wonderful God who is our Creator. Let us love, honor and obey Him always. And you know what else I found, Willy? I found out that Jesus Christ….the one who was lifted up upon the cross for you and for me…..is the God who made heaven and earth. He is the God above all false gods. Let us prepare to meet Him and to live with Him forever, in His eternal kingdom of glory. Andrew

I would suggest that you notice verses 1 and 2, and forget 11. "Then God spoke all these words, saying, I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery." It is with the people who came up out of Egypt that the Ten Commandments covenant was made. If I were one who came up out of Egypt then the Ten Commandments including the fourth would be binding on me. Show me a covenant that is not specifically addressed to the children of Israel, that is addressed to all of the people and I will agree with your arguments above. In Christ, Larry .

You have not answered my question, Andrew. You have not shown me from the Bible that the sabbath is the Seal og God. The following texts says is very clear that the Spirit God gives to the believer, is the Seal of God. If you deny that, please give evidence for saying so; Hag 2:23 ; 2Kor 1:21.22 ; 2Kor 3:17 ; Joh 6:27 ; Ef 1:13.14 ; Ef 4:30 ; Rom 8:16
What purpose does the Seal of God have? The Seal of God has this object: to set apart (aside) for a purpose. The children of God is Sealed for the day salvation. Sealing designates that which is securely enclosed (Dan 12:9) by lying under a seal (Dan 12:9); Rev.7:3: "Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads." The law is not the Sal of God, but now Jesus is; Hag.2:23: "In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts." Jesus is that signet, and he sets his Seal on his children. 2 Cor.1:21.22: "Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, [is] God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts." 2 Cor.3:17: "Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord [is], there [is] liberty." Eph.1:13.14: "In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory." Andrew. How can you say that a day – that only is a periode of time – be the Seal of God? Isn’t our Lord, Jesus Christ, far more worth than some hours of time? Do you realy believe that there is security for salvation in a period of 24 hours? The Bible tells us that the only way to salvation is our Lord, Jesus Christ. Let us therefore trust in the Savior as our Seal for salvation.
Isaiah 8:16. But Isaiah does not refer to the ten commandments in Is. 8:16. (The word "testimony" refers to the proohets message.) So, if "testimony refer to the law, it must refer to the laws in plural. That means it would refer to the ceremony law as well. But in v. 16 and 20 "testimony" refers to the prophets message, and the message is abot Mesiah who is to come, se v. 14 and 15: "And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken." "Testimony" (Heb `
