Sorry, I’m a different Chris. I lived in the Vancouver area all my life until 4 months ago. I also noticed that my email address is wrong below. It should read "is2" not is. I’ll have to talk to the university about this. Hopefully no-one else had mail returned to them. Chris Q6255888

I’m with you – however, it begs the question: If we are one mind, does that make me tricoastal by default? Can one mind defeat a narrow mind? Let us hope so. I am willing to try with you, deer dear. -Mary

Hi Laura, I miss you. Hope you are doing fine and had a nice Holiday season. I have been here 3 years, and I believe this was tried the first year, and there were several attempts since, at least once or twice a year for the past two. I have even stopped posting a number of times myself, and low and behold someone breaks the quiet by asking about me. Some just ask, some attack me. Regardless of how they do it, they are basically wanting to hear me speak more about the Lord, or more of the Word of God, because they know that’s what they’ll get from me. There are some, I believe who would not actually like to see me go. I disagree that it’s because people like their own voices. I believe that people are indeed hungry for knowledge of God, even though they are ashamed or too in denial to admit it. The TRUTH about God is irresistable, no matter how much people attempt to shut the TRUTH about God out. The Word, Jesus Christ Our Savior is a MOST powerful weapon, it is UNbeatable. Satan can’t defeat it, he can’t stop the heart from longing for the Son of God. It’s just this simple. I know this has been hard for us, the arrows of salvation hurt as the are stabbing many hearts. I feel that eventually I will be gone for good, probably when 42 months are up. That’s probably how long God has planned for me to be here. He has me here doing seed planting. The planter is not meant to see the harvest, but He promises that all seeds that are planted will one day see a harvest. The harvest will be brought in by the Master of the House when He returns. I have sewn a great many seeds here. I am only here so long as God wants me here. His timing is perfect. God is at this time reaching into the uttermost parts of the earth, once every nation has heard the Good News that the Savior is Coming Soon and time to prepare, then my mission here will be finished. For some the times will last 42 months more. My postings will remain behind in the archives for words to comfort you, and direct your back to God after I am gone. I wish you well, Celeste — Ro 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. 1Jo 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

It seems that there is no one solution. We can call her crazy, but we don’t know her personally…yes she does write crazy things, but maybe that’s because she knows it makes everyone mad. Maybe she is insane, we will probably never truly know. I just hope she realizes one day that people are allowed to have their own opinions and that she should not condem them just because they do. I pray for you Celeste, I pray that God will give you your senses one day. JLynn

Yes, this is about Celeste. Just some advice to everyone….maybe if we ignore her long enough….she’ll get bored with us and go away! I think that she thrives on knowing that she pisses us all off. She’s like a child who doesn’t know when to stop. She pushes us to the edge so she can slam the bible in our faces. But this is just my opinion. JLynn

JLynn, I’m sorry to have to say that I think that Celeste really believes she’s a prophet of God. Having attended my share of churches membered by a few folks who wrongly believe they are prophets of God, cloak their personality-disordered fervor in religious terms, and then abuse the people around them, I think the only effective way of dealing with Celeste and those like her is to understand the truth and deal with it. People with personality disorders and mental illness can’t be dealt with as though they are well. The reality of that illness has to be kept in the forefront of the mind. Then we can handle the ill person as an ill person. My personal approach to sick people is to avoid them as much as possible unless I’m helping them in some professional capacity. Since such help can’t really be rendered in a professional-client capacity on line, I generally avoid the mentally ill on line as often as I can. Taunting them doesn’t help, and is usually what they’re after (in their sickness), anyway. Ignoring them doesn’t help, because they’re driven by something bigger and more powerful than can be controlled by the sick person or by anyone else. Sometimes the illness can be controlled by medication, but medication is only as good as the reliability of the person taking it. Therapy is only effective with some mental illnesses, and most mentally ill people can’t see that they are ill, and thus never get help. My own opinion is that Celeste should pretty much be left alone. Deer says that ignoring Celeste "doesn’t work," but total ignoring of her by every single person on the ng has never occurred. It can’t occur, because newcomers arrive regularly, react to something they see, and Celeste gets the charge she needs. A person who sincerely believes she is a prophet of God, as she does, is driven by rejection, ridicule, and abuse because it is an honor to be persecuted "for the sake of the gospel." Therefore, the more people attack Celeste, the more she sees "evidence" that she is, in fact, a prophet of God. If you are personally troubled by what you see in Celeste’s articles, then you as an individual can bypass most of them, as many others do here. For myself, I’m not often angered by what I read. There are many more evil type folks than Celeste. She’s obviously got one oar in the water; but there are folks like the priest who molests the acolytes, or the Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker types who delude and bilk millions for years, and do much more serious harm to people who are searching for spiritual answers than the lunatic with a placard proclaiming, "THE END OF THE WORLD IS NEAR." The latter is to be pitied; the former feared. All IMHO, Anne — L. Okay, it doesn’t work. But why feed her energy? I heard people proclaim that "if it wasn’t for her children we wouldn’t give a damn". I don’t buy it. Do you all really think you can save this woman or help her children? Do you really think you can change her mind? I’ve also heard most say that she is crazy, and yet you become angry or argumentative with her. If you believe that she truly is crazy, do you not also accept that she is sick? If she is off balance, then she is unable to use sound reason. So why not put energy toward helping people find their birthfamilies or discussions relating to adoption politics? I am searching for my birthmother. I check in here often in hopes of catching a glimpse of her one day. I also enjoy reading other’s experiences and knowing I am not alone in my "need to know". It always amazes me how many posts and how much effort and emotion is spent on this individual. Jade
