Question:
Hi Marlene No one can steal the truth, it is what it is
True, I should have said "when I sense something is TRYING to steal the truth away". Those of us who have our foundations on the Rock are not affected, but those who are just starting construction need protection from those who would deceive, alter and confuse. A house on the sand is easy to construct and can look quite impressive, but if the foundations are shaky it will not stand. The builder will some day be faced with a pile of rubble and have to start from scratch building something that is pleasing in the Father’s sight. If you see them as lesser then perhaps their not ready for more content, that though does not make then less in the eyes of God. .
Agreed. I do not look upon anyone in Christ as lesser or greater. The first shall be last and the last shall be first. We are all on a journey together and just as I see where I once was in some, others may see where they once were in my current example. The patience to allow others to grow as God sees fit is a virtue. But that doesn’t exclude us from pointing out what may be right under their noses! Besides, there is plenty of precident in the Bible for humility! My concern is when the adversary would attempt to steal away the truth. The Bible as the Word of God and the Sword of the Spirit is a truth; just as Jesus Christ – both Son of Man and Son of God – is as according to Scripture. Both are essential foundations for building anything spiritually. As per the parable about the wise and foolish builder who built their houses on the sand and on the rock. Anything not build on the rock will not stand when the storms rage against one’s soul. The squabbles about the little things amount to nothing more serious than a distraction. But the basics – God and His Word – are not to be trifled with in any way. There is only one who would attempt such a thing and I will confront him every time for he attempts to erode the foundations. This will not be tolerated in a place sanctified to God. We might differ on this one. I don’t attend any denomination. I found that I’am much closer to God just by being willing to listen to him. The Holy spirit is inside of us always.I certainly don’t think you can turn him off and on by walking in and out of a service. A walk in the woods to me is a walk with God. Individually we are to be a body of Christ no matter what sect/denomination.
True, but a physical body of believers is a perfect place to exercise our spirits and for one edge to hone another. Like it or not, we are at spiritual war. By siding with Jesus Christ we are consciously picking sides and only a fool would neglect exercising the Holy Spirit in their life. We benefit greatly from a place where we can exercise our spiritual gifts and can be guinea pigs for others exercising their gifts, in an atmosphere of forgiveness and mutual respect and learning. That just doesn’t happen in a congregation where the gifts and the Holy Spirit are not welcomed openly. I love walks in the woods and they are very uplifting for me. They assist me when I lose touch or need to grow but to take the wisdom given me and not share it in season is like the foolish servant who received the talent from his master but simply buried it away in the forest. They may uplift the individual for a time but accomplish nothing in the harvest fields set out before us by our Father. Remember the parable about the two sons who’s father asked them to go out and work in the vineyard for him? The one said "forget you, I have stuff of my own to do" and took off. The other said "OK Dad", but never went. The first son started thinking about how he had spoken to his father and presently went off and worked a full day tending the father’s crop. Which son obeyed his father’s will? We are given our quite walks when we need them, but our first duty is to the harvest. (I can’t believe I’m saying this! I, who was at one time so staunchly against witnessing – back before I started to understand the true nature of being a witness for Christ!) We are to be available in the Spirit, in season and out. The Lipan Apache were fond of saying that spiritual wisdom is give out freely. But if you hoard it to yourself you will receive no more. Such wisdom is to be shared with others when we are so directed. Then we will receive as freely as we give. I have recently found an excellent non-denominational congregation. Marlene: Do they teach you about the inner man? Do they teach you to examine your dreams, your mind, your heart and what goes on inside of you ? The HOly Spirit will guide you in this too, it’s another layer of truth to be examined. I don’t think many churchs find it necessary for the development of growth though
They teach first and foremost about Jesus. Jesus came to usher in the kingdom of God. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; then these other things will be added unto you. I understand the need to understand ourselves fully and reconcile with our past. This is part of the process from salvation to purification to sanctification of the heart. But this will be added unto us freely and in great measure, running over, when we first seek the kingdom of God. I am living proof of this. When I try to focus on the growth, it slows and stops. When I get my focus back on the kingdom, the growth comes fast and furious – almost too fast at times! BTW, did you know that the Lipan Apache also posessed great wisdom in regards to the spirit and dreams? They said that if you spent enough time daily in the spirit and kept your subconscious pure so communion with the Spirit was easy, you would no longer have a need to dream. The Great Spirit would not have to wait until your conscious mind was quieted with sleep to finally get through to you! Dreams were usually an indication that you were apart from God and a Vision Quest was in order. And it is not the church’s place to examine your dreams. The perfect one to interpret the dream is the dreamer with the help of the Holy Spirit; unless the dreamer be spiritually inept such as the kings in Daniel’s time. God was trying to get through to them with warnings of the future but their spiritual apparatus was in dis-repair from neglect. It was only once the dream became a concern – possibly after nights and even weeks of the same dream over and over – that the king sought it’s meaning. And from scriptures you can see just how distraught the king was! Offering great prizes to the one who came through and threating to kill, and knock down the houses of those who didn’t. These were clearly the acts of an exceedingly desperate spiritual buffoon! This is not how we are to be. Please be careful if your church is promoting the analyzing of dreams over teaching the kingdom of God, which begins with Jesus First. All these other things, (such as the wisdom to interpret dreams to help overcome the past), will be added, not to the congregation or the minister, but to you. Be well Griz

Hi Marlene I’m back! Marlene: Are you a Holy Spirit patrolman? Thats not a joke either. I am what God has called me to be Marlene. I react in the Spirit when I sense the Truth is being stolen from us.
Marlene: Welcome back, I’m glad your safe and sound. No one can steal the truth, it is what it is Truth comes in layers. We probably could not stand the whole truth all at once. God gives a little here and there only to the degree the individual is comfortable with. No one can steal the from the Spirit of God, they can only receive more and more. If you see them as lesser then perhaps their not ready for more content, that though does not make then less in the eyes of God. . . Marlene: are you content to remain as you are? Zero growth = stagnation. Something many organized religions should re-examine. To be in Christ means constant challenges and constant growth. It is a vibrant, exciting lifestyle.
Marlene: Yes..I agree. I know myself when I really began to trust I went through some major growths. It was not easy to change my ways of thinking. But I’m certainly glad for the lessons. Marlene: Yes… But do you have to go to a particular kind of church in a building before the Holy spirit can work in your life? Well, you would have a hard time encouraging the working of the Holy Spirit in your life by attending a sect/denomination that does not believe in the Holy Spirit, or would dimish or belittle His role in the true body of Christ.

Look for a church who’s Spiritual Affirmations are written not just on their bulletins, but on the hearts and in the lives of the congretation. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance to find an assembly where you can learn, participate, and grow. I have recently found an excellent non-denominational congregation.

Actually I wasn’t looking for good or bad in any denomination. I was asking about the "church."and if you saw it as a denomination? Emphatically not! My recent ramble in the Holy Spirit around various chruches has served to confirm that and several other things to me. Some denominations’ statement of purpose and intent come very close, showing great potential which is unfortunately yet to be realized.
Marlene: Are you a Holy Spirit patrolman? Thats not a joke either. Others have found a ‘comfortable place’ alongside the narrow path and content to remain there.
Marlene: are you content to remain as you are? The true church, the bride, the body of Christ is the spiritual assembly of all those who worship God in Spirit and in truth, coming to Him through the cross of Jesus, His only Son, and receiving (and using!) the fullness of the Holy Spirit in their hearts and lives.
Marlene: Yes… But do you have to go to a particular kind of church in a building
before the Holy spirit can work in your life? Last post for a while. Please pray both for safety as I journey for the next week, and for a great time full of insights in the Spirit.

Marlene: Hi….. it’s me again. Those churches you speak of are they a specific denomination? Just wondering about your views on the subject of a "church."
Hi Marlene. Look, I’m sorry if I snarled at you in some of my posts. It is something that I regret, and part of what I struggle with. I have kept track of the denominations where I could, but I hesitate to divulge them lest they become a reason to divide further rather than to come together. I don’t even know why I kept track in the first place. I have yet to discern if that is of me or of the Spirit! Will it suffice it to say that I have seen mighty words of wisdom and moving of the Spirit in surprising places, and callow tomfoolery that might even border on blasphemy or Spirit-abuse in equally surprising places? I would share the stories if you are interested, but let’s keep labeling of denominations as ‘good’ and ‘bad’ to a minimum for now, OK? Griz

– Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Sadly, the world knows about Christian law and ethics but not about the Gospel of the Kingdom. There is a lot of bad news in churches today. Go figure. Those churches who would be most effectively spiritually are effectively silenced with all manner of disruptions and distractions from the Truth. They argue on and on, endlessly it seems, about non-issues (the current HP posts on these NG’s a current example!). Once their eyes are off Christ they are of no further threat to the enemy. They would rather be ‘right’ and ‘vindicated’ than submit themselves to God’s Holy Word. Welcome to the NG’s Ramiga! Griz Marlene:
